Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres acquired forward Linus Omark from the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2014.

Omark played in 66 NHL games for the Oilers, but just 15 since the 2010-11 season.

Though he has appeared in just one NHL game this season, Omark was leading the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons in goals (14) and assists (15) at the time of the trade.
