STJ Golf Invitational

The first round of the St. Joseph Invitational golf tournament is done at Victoria Country Club. The host Lady Flyers lead with a 403 score, 38 shots better than Yoakum, with La Grange third at 467. Chloe Velasco of St. Joseph leads individual medalist with an 81, followed by Anna Kvinta of Yoakum at 88, Lacie Linam of the Lady Flyers at 91, Taylor Janak of St. Joe at 96, and Beth Moehlman of the Lady Bulldogs at 99.  Gonzales leads the boys team standings with a 345 score, 17 better than La Grange. West B team is third at 371, East A team is six shots behind that, and St. Joe is fifth at 400. A.J. Hoffman of La Grange leads at 78, one better than Ryan Lee of the Apaches. Wade Strickland of the Warriors shot 82, 89 for the Flyers' Kyle Oliver, 91 for East's Chad Williams, 94 for Zach Blevins.
