STJ District Track Update

Kristen Fisher has successfully defended her TAPPS District 3-4A district
crowns in the triple jump and long jump. Fisher won the long jump with a 16'8
3/4 jump and the triple with a leap of 35'0". The wins add up to 6 district
championships for the sophomore as she advances to defend her Regional titles
she won in the long and triple jumps in 2013. Teammate Haley Alexander also
advanced to regional in the long jump by finishing 4th.  Abigail Gwosdz advanced
in the pole vault with a jump of 8'0 finishing 4th, Beth Bingham and Kristi
Hempel tied for 2nd and both advance to Regional. Katherine Dent was 5th in the
pole vault and Lauren Williams was 6th in the triple jump. For the Flyers,
William Proctor won the high jump at 6' and Doug wall was 2nd at 5'10 and
advance to Regional as does Adam Konarik in the triple jump and long jump
by finishing third in each. Both Brandon and Alex Ferrill have advance to
regional in the pole vault for the Flyers.
