St. Joseph baseball went 1-1 at the Hallettsville Sacred Heart tournament Thursday. The Flyers beat Ganado, 6-2, with Bryson Saxton getting the complete game win. Clayton Davidson blasted a three-run homer in the fifth to break a tie.
The Flyers then lost to East Bernard, 2-1, with Jerry Vasquez tossing a three-hitter in the loss. The Flyers, now 7-2 on the season, play for third place in the tourney Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
