Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Rangers forward Derek Dorsett is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks with a broken fibula.

Blueshirts head coach Alain Vigneault confirmed the severity of the injury, as well as the timetable for recovery, following his team's 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night.

Dorsett exited the game in the first period and did not return after going down to block a shot from Pens defenseman Matt Niskanen. The puck eventually found its way to Chris Kunitz for the game's first goal and Dorsett skated to the bench slowly, hunched over and in visible pain.
