Pirates' Harrison is NL Player of the Month

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Harrison of the Pittsburgh Pirates was named the National League Player of the Month for August on Wednesday.

Harrison batted .347 with four home runs, three triples, 12 doubles and nine RBI in 28 games for the Pirates in August. He had a .374 on-base percentage and led the NL with 71 total bases.

Andrew McCutchen was named the NL's top player in June, marking the first time since Barry Bonds and Bobby Bonilla in 1990 that two Pirates teammates won the award in the same season.
