Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers forward David West will not play in Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats after injuring his left eye during the team's most recent outing.

West temporarily exited the Pacers' 89-84 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday after being scratched in his eye during the first quarter. Though he returned for the second half, the 10-year veteran managed just seven points on 2-of-11 shooting in 25 minutes while clearly bothered by the issue.

Tyler Hansbrough will draw the start for West, averaging 17.2 points and 7.6 rebounds on the season, against the Bobcats.
