Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions and center Dominic Raiola have agreed to a one-year contract.

The Free Press on Friday cited a source which said Raiola will receive a raise from the $1 million base salary he was paid in 2013.

The 35-year-old, 13-year veteran has spent his entire career with the franchise, which selected him in the second round back in 2001. A Nebraska product, Raiola has started every game over the last five seasons.

Raiola was the subject of controversy earlier last season, after allegedly verbally abusing band members from the University of Wisconsin during pre- game ceremonies prior to the team's Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers. He later issued an apology and made a significant donation to the school's band program.
