Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Wednesday that goaltender Ben Bishop will not play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Montreal Canadiens.

Bishop is still not ready to go, having missed the remaining three games of the regular season after suffering an apparent wrist injury.

The University of Maine product exited an Apr. 8 game with the Maple Leafs less than six minutes in after he landed on his left wrist diving for a deflection.

The 27-year-old posted a 37-14-7 record in 63 games this season with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.

Anders Lindback, who stopped 77-of-79 shots since his installment as starter in Bishop's absence, will get the call for the series opener.

Lindback has participated in only one previous postseason contest, a 13- minute, nine-save stint in 2011 for the Nashville Predators.
