One half of the championship game for the Lady Flyer Holiday Classic at St. Joseph is now set. Yoakum first beat Nixon-Smiley, 65-39, then downed Flatonia, 73-29, to make the finals Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The team the Lady Bulldogs will play is yet to be decided. Friday, the host Lady Flyers beat Cuero, 66-50. Kensey Marshall with 23 points to lead St. Joe. Faith Academy lost to Ganado, 47-41, but the Maidens gave up their semifinal spot to the Lady Flyers since they did not want to possibly face district foe Flatonia in the finals. Brittney Church led Faith with 15 points, so the Lady Cougars play the Lady Flyers in the semis Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph.
