San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty left Thursday's game against San Jose with a possible left shoulder injury.

Doughty appeared to injure the shoulder while delivering a check to San Jose forward Tyler Kennedy in the first period.

He eventually went into the locker room, with the team later saying that he had an upper-body injury and would not return to play.

Doughty has appeared in all 78 games for the Kings this season, his sixth in the NHL. He has posted 10 goals and 27 assists and is plus-18.
