Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Jets announced Wednesday that they have traded forward Alexei Ponikarovsky to the New Jersey Devils for a pair of draft picks.

The Jets received a 2013 seventh-round draft pick and a 2014 fourth-round draft pick for the 32-year-old Ponikarovsky, who had two goals and six penalty minutes in 12 games for the Jets this season.

Ponikarovsky rejoins the Devils for whom he played 33 games last season following a January trade with Carolina.

The Ukraine native has produced 137 goals and 316 points in 648 career games with Toronto, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Carolina, New Jersey and Winnipeg.
