Huberdeau selected NHL's rookie of the month

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Florida Panthers center Jonathan Huberdeau has been chosen as the NHL's top rookie for February.

Huberdeau led all rookies with six goals during the month and finished with nine points in 13 games. The highlight of his month was a four-point game in a 5-2 win over Philadelphia on Feb. 21, which included a goal on a penalty shot.

The 19-year-old edged Tampa Bay center Cory Conacher, Florida teammate Drew Shore and Dallas left wing Antoine Roussel for the honor.
