Hallettsville Girls Basketball Loses

Hallettsville girls basketball's first trip to the 2A State tournament ended in Austin Friday morning.  The Lady Brahmas lost to Wawll, 59-44. Six-foot-tall sisters Maddi and Bobbi Chitsey combined for 37 points and 11 rebounds to lead Wall (34-4) to the State championship game.  Hallettsville (34-4) was limited to 30 percent shooting from the field. Heather Henneke led the Lady Brahmas with 14 points and 10 rebounds before collecting her fifth foul early in the fourth quarter. Cassidy Targac and Kasey Hairell added eight points each for the Lady Brahmas.
