West baseball split two games at the Gregory-Portland tournament Friday. The Warriors first beat Kingsville, 7-1, with Jonathan Jimenez getting the win and Shane Kallman going 4-for-4 with an RBI. West then lost to Calhoun, 5-4, with Bryeton Canchola getting the loss and Gunner Harrison going 2-for-3 for the Warriors. West next plays at the tourney Saturday at 12:15 p.m. vs. Orange Grove.
East baseball lost twice at the Comal County tourney Friday. The Titans lost to San Antonio Reagan, 2-1. Kyle Craft got the loss, Mason Tipton with an RBI triple for the Titans. East then lost to Boerne, 13-3 in five. Adrian Gonzalez got the loss, Trevor Brown homered for the Titans, who next play in the tourney Saturday at 9:30 a.m. vs. Antonian.
