Faith Academy softball, down 8-0 after a half inning, rallied to beat New Braunfels John Paul II, 12-9, to win the third place playoff in its district. The Lady Cougars clinched the game by pulling off a triple play in the seventh. Two RBI's apiece for Faith's Gabbie Torres, Krischelle Alex and Christian Chance. The Lady Cougars now face Sherman Texoma, last year's TAPPS State 2A runnersup, in the Area playoffs at Texoma Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
