Ten Faith Academy girls basketball made All-District Monday, including five first team picks, and they are Courtne Grevey, Brittany Church, Maegan Wilkinson, Kassidy Korczynski and Krischelle Alex. Four more Lady Cougars made second team All-District, including Reagan Wright, Hope Burns, Errysa Day and Maegan Wilson. Paige Williams received All-District honorable mention from Faith.
The Faith Academy boy's basketball team had seven players selected for the
2013-14 TAPPS 2A-6 all-district teams, the school announced Monday. The Cougars,
fresh off their Regional Semi-Final appearance, had two first team, three second
team, and two honorable mention selections. 

In addition to their
Regional Semi-Final appearance, the Cougars notched 25 wins during the 2013-14
season - the first time they've reached that mark since the 2009-10
season.

Seniors Eli Espindola and Craig Hogan led the way for the Cougars
this season, and each earned first team all-district honors. During district
play, Espindola averaged 11.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.4 steals and
1.4 blocks. Espindola numbers led the team in rebounds, assists, and blocks.
Hogan also chipped in with 16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and shot a
team-best 61% from the field.

A trio of junior guards were named to the
all-district second team for Faith Academy, including Joe Rodriguez, Derick
Garcia, and Marcus Garza. Rodriguez averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 assists per game
during district, and also led the team with 3.9 steals. Garcia added 8.1 points
and and 4.9 rebounds per game; while Gaza contributed 5.2 points and 2.9 assists
against district opponents.

Junior Zach Kunchandy (5.5 points and 6.1
rebounds, and 1.6 blocks) and senior Hunter Duke (4.4 points, 4.5 rebounds)
rounded out FA's all-district selections, as each earned honorable mention
honors for their efforts this season.
