East softball beat St. Joseph, 8-6, in the season opener for both teams at the O'Connor Athletic Complex. The Titans rallied from a 4-0 deficit, Dakotah Peterson's homer put them ahead for good. Alisha Quinterro got the win with six strikeouts. East plays its opening game in the VISD tournament Thursday at 9:00 a.m. vs. El Campo. At 11:00 a.m., West plays its tourney opener vs. Pleasanton and the Lady Flyers open vs. Runge. At 1:00 p.m., the Titans face Goliad, then at 3:00 p.m., St. Joe plays Flour Bluff and the Warriors face Sinton. All games at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.
