East baseball is going to State. The Titans first tied their 4A Regional finals series against Schertz Clemens, winning game two, 8-3, Saturday morning at San Marcos high school. Kyle Craft was the winning pitcher. The Titans then won the deciding game three, 5-1, behind the pitching another senior, Michael Garcia. East baseball will go to the State tournament for the first time. It's the second East sports team to compete in for a UIL State title, following the 2012 girls basketball team. The Titans are the first VISD baseball team to make it to State since the 1986 Stroman State 5A Semifinalists. The 4A State semifinals start Thursday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
