East baseball lost its 2013 opener in its first appearance at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi. The Titans lost to Carroll, 5-4, with the Tigers scoring the two game-winning runs in the bottom of the seventh. Tim Gleinser and Jonathan Ortega each had two hits for East, with Gleinser blasting a solo homer and driving in two runs. Seth Christian scored for the Titans, while Hunter Perkins was the losing pitcher. East starts play in the Cuero tournament Thursday afternoon at 2:00 vs. El Campo.
