Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have named Mike Harkey their new pitching coach.

Harkey joins the Diamondbacks after spending the previous six seasons as the bullpen coach on New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi's staff. The 47-year-old also has been a coach for the San Diego Padres (2000-05), Florida Marlins (2006) and Chicago Cubs (2007).

The D-backs also have tabbed Mel Stottlemyre, Jr. to be the bullpen coach. He had been the club's minor league pitching coordinator the last three years after serving as the D-backs' pitching coach in 2009-10.
