Cuero’s New Turf Field
The Cuero football boosters get their first look at the brand new artificial turf field at Gobbler Stadium.
Work on the new surface started on June 10th, it'll be fully finished by Thursday night, when the Gobblers host East in a scrimmage. Cuero athletic director Travis Reeve said the cost of the field turf installation is between 800 thousand and a million dollars, and that it's part of a 1.9 million dollar total stadium renovation. That will include a new track which won't be installed until after football season. Coach Reeve also said the money for the project did not come from the main Cuero ISD budget, but from the district fund balance surplus.
