Cousins, Gay both listed as day-to-day

Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Sacramento Kings received promising news on the injury front Thursday.

Center DeMarcus Cousins and forward Rudy Gay are both listed as day-to-day after departing Wednesday's loss at Houston with injuries.

The team announced that Cousins, the team's leading scorer and rebounder, has a sprained left ankle and an MRI exam on Gay revealed a left Achilles strain.

Cousins is averaging 22.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.78 steals and 1.20 blocks while starting 40 games this season. Gay has averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 21 games with Sacramento since being acquired from Toronto on Dec. 9.
