Caps claim Volpatti off waivers from Vancouver

Arlington, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals have claimed left wing Aaron Volpatti off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks.

Volpatti recorded one goal and 28 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Canucks this season. He ranked second on the club in penalty minutes.

The 27-year-old British Columbia native has three goals and one assist with 81 penalty minutes in 54 NHL games, all with Vancouver.
