Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of punter Chas Henry to a futures contract on Wednesday.

Henry made the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2011 and averaged 42.9 yards per punt while appearing in all 16 games that season. The former University of Florida standout was released by the Eagles last September, despite averaging 48.5 yards per kick along with a 38.2 net average in the team's first three contests.

Prior to joining the NFL, Henry earned the 2010 Ray Guy Award honoring the nation's best collegiate punter during his senior year with the Gators.
