St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Blue Jays activated pitcher Brandon Morrow from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday.
Morrow hasn't pitched for the Blue Jays since May 2 because of a torn tendon sheath in his right index finger. The right-hander made six starts this season before the injury, going 1-2 with a 5.93 ERA.
The Blue Jays also activated first baseman Dan Johnson (strained left hamstring) from the 15-day DL and called up seven players from Triple-A Buffalo.
Pitchers Kendall Graveman, Sean Nolin and Daniel Norris, outfielders Anthony Gose and Dalton Pompey, second baseman Ryan Goins and catcher George Kottaras were added to the roster. Pompey and Kottaras had their contracts selected from Buffalo.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Blue Jays transferred third baseman Brett Lawrie (strained left oblique) to the 60-day DL and designated outfielder Darin Mastroianni and first baseman Matt Hague for assignment. Pitcher Neil Wagner was also released.
