Bloomington’s Site Problems
Bloomington football cannot play any home games at this point.
There is no grass planted on the football field there. Bloomington athletic director and head football coach Layne Elkins said that the stadium grass was taken out at the end of the last school year. Due to complications with water and sewer lines, a new sprinkler system has not been completed at Bobcat Stadium. When the sprinkler system is put in, it would take another 4-5 days to plant the grass. Coach Elkins said that the Bobcats' first scheduled home football game vs. Woodsboro on the 30th has been moved to Woodsboro, and he added the site of the September 13th home game vs, Bishop is undetermined. Coach Elkins said they hope to play at least the last two home games at Bobcat Stadium.
