New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Hockey League suspended Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry four games, without pay, on Wednesday.

The ban stems from an illegal check Perry landed on Minnesota forward Jason Zucker in Tuesday's game. Perry was assessed a major penalty for interference and game misconduct for the play at the 4:21 mark of the second period.

Perry will lose $115,135.12 due to the suspension and the money will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

He will miss games at Dallas and St. Louis, and home games versus San Jose and Chicago before being eligible to return for a Mar. 22 game at home against Detroit.

Over 25 games this season, Perry has nine goals and 15 assists.
