Milestones were achieved for West and East boys golf at the 30-4A championships final round at the Club at Colony Creek Tuesday. The West boys won their fourth straight district team title with a 654 two-day score, 21 shots better than East. The Titan boys qualify for Regionals for the first time ever. West's Patrick Kostella won his first 30-4A individual medalist title with an 83-160. The Titans' Hunter Redding was second at 81-161, while the Warriors' Remey Shelton was third at 85-162. The West Red team took third, and Collins Koch from that team placed fifth at 164. For the first time, the East girls golf team is not going to Regionals. The Titans took third, just four shots behind second place Gregory-Portland, with Tuloso-Midway winning the team title by 120 shots. Kelly Xac of TM won individual medalist for the second straight year with a 72-139 total. Emily Richter of West shot 101-196 and qualified for Regionals for the very first time. Kendall Carter and Ashley Martin had the best two day scores for East at 199. Regionals start Monday at Comanche Trace in Kerrville.
