At the State 4A wrestling meet at the Delco Center in Austin, West's Jasmene Porter, at 215 pounds, lost in the semis to Jesse Grubbs of Azle 10-5. Then Porter beat Kenyasha Paige of Arlington Seguin, 8-5. The Warrior will wrestle for third Saturday against Miah Finch-Acosta of Saginaw. John Garcia of West at 120 pounds lost in his semifinal match, 12-6, to Johnny Nguyen of Richmond Foster. Garcia wrestles for fifth Saturday against Javier Galvan of Hereford. Austin Supak of West at 128 was pinned and eliminated by Destiny Wilbert of Humble Summer Creek.
