Arredondo has been named the Association of Independent Institutions Conference
Female Athlete of the Week for the week of April 8-14.
The senior from Canyon Lake is currently on a UHV record
23-game hitting streak and helped the Jaguars improve their current win streak
to 10 games with a 6-0 week that included doubleheader sweeps of Prairie View
A&M, Centenary College and Northwood University (TX).
For the week, Arredondo compiled a .714 batting average
going 15-for-21 with 11 runs scored, two RBI, a double, two stolen bases and a
walk. She also compiled a .762 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base
She finished off the week going 8-for-8 with four runs
and an RBI against Northwood that also helped the team earn UHV head coach Keri
Lambeth her 200th career coaching win at UHV.
During her 23-game hitting streak she has compiled a .575
batting average going 46-for-80 at the plate.
On the season, Arredondo has a .449 average banging out
62 hits in 138 at-bats, while she has scored a team-high 55 runs. She has four
doubles, a triple, a home run, 12 RBI, a .514 slugging percentage, a .493
on-base percentage and eight stolen bases.
