University of Houston-Victoria pitcher Andre Del Bosque
picked up his second save Thursday night for the Regina Red Sox in a 4-2 win
over the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Del Bosque worked a scoreless inning allowing one hit
while striking out two in the Western Major Baseball League matchup.

The UHV senior has two saves in two save opportunities
and has struck out five of the seven batters he has faced.

Del Bosque and UHV teammate Cory Carter are both pitching
for the Red Sox this summer. Carter has one start, allowing one run on two hits
and a walk with 13 strikeouts in six innings of a no decision.

Two former UHV players, Chad Kruse and Nick Huff, compete
in the Pecos League in New Mexico.

Kruse has a .390 batting average in 22 games for the Roswell
Invaders (18-6) and leads the team with 39 hits, 28 runs scored and two
triples. He also has seven doubles, 13 RBI and five stolen bases.

Huff pitches for the Santa Fe Fuego (10-11) and is 1-1
with a 7.90 ERA in seven games. In 13.2 innings he has allowed 14 runs on 27
hits and 10 walks with 10 strikeouts.
