East Baseball Wins Home Opener

East baseball had a successful home opener Monday night at Riverside Stadium.  The Titans beat El Campo, 8-1. Ryan Williams, the nephew of former Astros and Houston Cougars pitcher Woody Williams, tossed a four-hitter, striking out eight. Jonathan Ortega went 3-for-4 for the Titans with three doubles and two RBI's, while Trevor Brown had an RBI single. The Titans, now 3-3, start play in the Comal ISD tourney in New Braunfels Thursday afternoon at 2:30 vs. Pflugerville, then they face A&M Consolidated at 7:00.
