Our athletes of the week will hit the trail Saturday in search of a trip to state.
 
The Victoria west warriors are not just sending one representative to the regional cross country meet they are sending two, Todd Mickey and Blake Westbrooke.
 
For Mickey this will be his third appearance and Westbroke his first. At the district meet Mickey finished second overall and Westbrooke finished 5th but now it’s time for regionals and the warriors send a veteran and a rookie.
 
The regional cross country track meet will be this Saturday at UTSA and nerves will not be a problem at least for the veteran.
