Our athlete of the week surprised the opposing team and a lot of fans last Friday night.

On paper the Titans were not favored, up until the battle for the boot the Titans had also not started Jonathan Ortega at quarterback.

It turned out to be the difference in the game, 288 yards passing for 4 touchdowns and 167 yards rushing for 3 touchdowns. That’s 455 yards of total offense.

Throughout the season Ortega dominantly played the slot position for the Titans.  It wasn’t until the game against Gregory Portland that Ortega got some time in the quarterback position.

For being only a sophomore in what most would consider a leadership position, Ortega doesn’t look at it like that he’s just out there playing football with his friends.
