Victoria Day
Wednesday, dozens of people from Victoria will have a chance to have their voices heard by state representatives.
Members with the Chamber of Commerce are guiding a group of Victorians to the state capitol to meet with legislators about some of the problems plaguing Victoria. There, the 56 Victorians will participate in briefings by state officials, an evening reception, and the delivery of special commemorative gifts to key elected officials. The chamber said this trip is an important step in making sure legislators in Austin don't forget about the businesses in Victoria.
The group left this morning and will return home late Wednesday evening. Chamber officials said the main goals of the trip are to educate residents on the legislative process and to spread awareness on Victoria’s issues.
