Update on the Port Lavaca Body Case

We’re learning new details about a dead body that was found along the Bay Front in Port Lavaca Sunday morning.

Port Lavaca police said the body of 27-year-old Diego Martinez was discovered Sunday morning by two fisherman. Authorities don't expect foul play in the death. Early reports from the Travis County medical examiner’s office said Martinez did not suffer any internal or external trauma to his body. Police said it's appears Martinez may have drowned. Authorities are still waiting on toxicology results. The case is still under investigation and police are interviewing people who were last seen with Martinez.
