Trail Riders
Saddle up sisters, some local cowgirls and boys caravanned into town Friday day on their way to the Houston Livestock Show.
The trail riders are part of a group called "Los Vaqueros Rio Grande Ttrail-Ride Association." They began in Hidalgo on February second and have been making their way to Victoria ever since. For 40 years, the riders have been trailing this route, a tradition they said is important to keep going. The group will arrive at Memorial Park in Houston next Saturday and will then attend the Houston Rodeo. Once the ride is finished, they'll have travelled 386 miles.
