Spring Enrollment Up
At the University of Houston-Victoria enrollment is up, and freshman and sophomores are to thank.
According to UHV, spring 2013 undergraduate enrollment is growing in the university's third year as a four-year institution with nearly 42-hundred students that's a 4% increase from last year and a 44% jump since 2008. President Phil Castille said much of the growth can be attributed to its downward expansion in 2010, when the university first offered classes to freshmen and sophomores, and he expects the trend to continue. The university is building a new sophomore residence hall, Jaguar Suites, that will open in the fall to accommodate the growth.
