Gas Prices on the Rise
You've probably noticed it’s costing more to fill-up here in the Crossroads too, making local drivers shell out more cash than they'd like. So how long will this pain last? Doug Shupe with AAA said gas prices are on the rise. The average cost for a gallon of regular, unleaded fuel in the Crossroads is $3.43 but Shupe said that’s not bad compared to what other drivers are paying nationwide. Shupe added that prices at the pump have been propelled higher by more expensive crude oil but analyst predict the recent increase will slow down as temporary production concerns are addressed. He also said he doesn't think the rising gas prices will cut into driver’s spring break travel plans. Shupe stated in order save money on gas, do things like drive the speed limit, and travel lighter by getting rid of extra unnecessary weight in your car. AAA said when the demand is higher in the summer gas are predicting to go up even more. For more tips go to http://www.texas.aaa.com/home.html
