Formosa Letter
A Crossroads neighborhood is complaining about the safety of their roadways.
You may remember earlier this week we did a story on residents in Point Comfort who are concerned about drivers speeding down through their neighborhood. The residents said many of the drivers are Formosa employees. As a result of our report, Formosa plastics management is responding to the outcry. A memo sent out by the general manager of Formosa stated: “It's hard to be certain that those speeding are in fact employees and contractors of the plastics plant but, as a measure of safety and security, management is asking that employees and contractors avoid city streets, and go around the city, even if it takes a few extra minutes to do so to protect the quality of life of residents and children.”
News Center 25 will continue to follow-up on any progress made.
