It was a somber scene outside the Navarro residence, as family and friends gathered to pray for 12 year old, Orlando Navarro, who tragically lost his life in Saturday’s house fire. The fire broke out early Saturday morning on the 1600 block of East Guadalupe street. Fire fighters arrived on the scene within 5 minutes of receiving the call. However, by the time they arrived the house was entirely engulfed in flames. According to fire officials, the fire claimed the life of one and injured two others. Family members says Orlando was the only boy of 3 sisters and that he was the glue of the family. Orlando’s sister, chelsea, says she just wishes she could have one more moment with Orlando so she could apologize. She adds that her fondest
memory with her brother was talking about their future. She says Orlando wanted to be a cop. Orlando mother did not have home owners insurance and lost everything in the fire. However, family and friends are working at setting up a fund for the family. If you would like to help you can contact Rosa Garza (361) 652-5743
