Many of us don't worry about when our next meal is going to be but what about those that go throughout their day hungry?
"We have hungry people here in Victoria," say Debra Chronister, but the issue has not gone unnoticed.
Once a year the Victoria College and the Ceramic Club host the Empty Bowls Project to fight local hungry.
“For the last 9 years we have been making these bowls and selling them every year to feed our local hungry people. So the money goes to the food bank, Christ's Kitchen, and those types of organizations," says Chronister.
And many came out to support the cause.
"It's important for our family to come out today because we are called out to help one another and this is a great cause," says Destiny Olsen.
In the 9 year time span the project has been able to raise over $80,000. Over 500 bowls were created and organizers are hoping to raise about $13,000 at this event.
