Eagle Ford Production Increase
Oil output from Eagle Ford Shale formation here in south Texas has increased and rose 68% in December compared with the previous year, that's according to the Texas Railroad Commission which oversees oil and gas drilling in the state.
Nearly 385-thousand barrels of oil were pumped out of the Eagle Ford each day in December compared to more than 229-thousand a day in December 2011. Oil from the Eagle Ford is selling at higher prices than other shale formations around the state.
