Cruise Local Reaction

Thursday night, a Crossroads woman, among the thousands stuck at sea, is sharing her story about the deplorable conditions they've been forced to deal with.

Victoria residents Bettye and David Pribyl set sail for Cozumel exactly a week ago with their family. This was the couple's first cruise, but surprisingly, even after being stranded at sea for days, it won't be their last.
Bettye Pribyl and her family set sail for paradise last Thursday but a fire in the engine room knocked out power to the ship, making it a rough ride home. Pribyl said she has never appreciated a shower more than now. Pribyl said the rooms have been hot, but the food has not and that there hasn't been much to do to pass the time. Bettye said to apologize for the inconvenience Carnival is refunding all their expenses from the cruise, along with awarding each passenger a future cruise at no charge and $500.
