Victoria Mayor Will Armstrong will make a proclamation followed by speakers from the community who play a role in helping to stop child abuse. Cookies and refreshments will be served during the event. Golden Crescent CASA has about 135 cases in Victoria and the surrounding counties the cookie kick-off will be held from 4 to 5 Monday evening at the Hiller House by Riverside Park in Victoria. It ends with a balloon release with each balloon signifying a child currently going through the legal system because of abuse.
