City Election Fillings
If you want to run for public office in Victoria Wednesday is your day.
Registration is now open for candidates seeking office or re-election for city positions. The positions currently open are for mayor and council members for super districts five and six. According to the city charter, to be eligible for these positions candidates must be 21 years old, have lived in Victoria for a year and lived in their district for at least 6 months. Those seeking office can register at the city secretary's office. The last date to register is March 1st.
