Black History Month
Students at Victoria College traveled back to the mid-20th century in celebration of Black History Month. Tuesday, the student activity group held its 5th annual Black History luncheon. So what exactly was on the menu?
For Jarvis Elridge, Black History Month is a time to give thanks and remember those who gave their life for freedom. Monica Medina with Victoria College said, Black History is an important part of history that has had a profound impact on our society and everyone needs to know their roots. To pay tribute Medina helped organize the Black History luncheon at Victoria College. The student group handed out chili and corn bread to students while Medina showcased slides of inspirational African Americans.
