Even with the clouds rolling in, the Crossroads has seen some unseasonably warm temperatures to start February, and it’s actually causing many plants to start budding ahead of schedule. The warmer winter may have some eager to plant early but plant experts said not waiting could cost you more in the long run because there’s still a chance those plants could die off, It's beginning to look a lot like spring but its only February. Area resident Bobby Brose said the warmer weather is what’s tempting many to want to plant early but brose said as tempted as she is, she knows she better wait. She said she has purchased seeds but is holding off on planting them. Texas Backyard manager Janette Beard agrees, and said to plant now would be a gamble but beard said you can still dig in there are some evergreen plants that are okay to plant now.
