Services Scheduled For Crash Victim

VICTORIA - Funeral services have been scheduled for Bryan Doane, 19, of Victoria, who was killed while riding his motorcycle. 

Doane's funeral will be held Friday, March 21st at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Victoria.   

Doane was riding his motorcycle around 8 p.m. Monday, when he crashed into the back of a tanker truck under the Zac Lentz Parkway/Main Street overpass.

He was rushed to DeTar Hospital where he later died. 

Doane was a 2012 graduate of Victoria East High School.

The local biker community is planning a ride in his honor. 

Brandon Garcia and Jorge Borrero are teaming up with Victoria automotive shop CASH Customs for a memorial bike ride to the funeral.   

Riders are meeting at 9 a.m. at CASH Customs on 3302 N. Ben Jordan Street.

They plan to ride behind the hearse in the funeral procession. 

The ride is open to the public.
